there are feelings
they used to be your friend
but they are deeper than before
now you have to drill for them
now you have to inject steam
that they might be forced
forced to the surface
forced into the light
and you stand there
staring at them pooling
all red at your feet
while you’re
you’re wondering
wondering who is bleeding
while you turn pale
and fight to remain upright
