Gattaca

Gattaca – I am not sure how this one slipped through the net of films that I have seen. How could I allow 15 years to pass from its release to finally seeing it is beyond me.

The film is brilliant and the premise of genetic discrimination and the strength of the human spirit enshrines all of the reasons I have always been against every form of eugenics.

At its heart is a humanity incapable of accepting itself for who it is. Unable to see the irony in a perceived flawed creation finding a way to perfect itself.

I loved every second of it and will watch it again many times for sure.
