Of course I realize I am waaaaay too psyched about the upcoming Ida Maria/Glasvegas concert on April 7th in Minneapolis but hey – who cares right? I fully understand that all sorts of things could happen to screw that up and if that happens, I’ll live – hey I’ll only be out $12 (which is a crazy good price for these two groups).

 

Anyhow you really need to understand the odds of these two groups getting together at the same venue for the same concert. I mean – these are two groups I’ve come to really admire and have had nothing to do with each other in my head or on my iPod. It never occured to me that there was ever a possibility that they would perform together.

 

There is only one other band that I have been obsessing about lately and that’s The Ting Tings, a very cool British techno-pop duo that have a remarkable sound. If it was virtually impossible that Ida Maria and Glasvegas would come together then there would be no hope to ever see The Ting Ting’s in my lifetime – right? Well I was browsing concert dates today and what do I see –

 

The Ting Tings will be playing the Varsity Theater in Minneapolis the day before we see Glasvegas and Ida Maria. How ridiculous is that? It took a little arm-twisting to swing the trip in the first place…what are the odds I can add The Ting Tings to the trip? I mean – we’re leaving Monday anyway right? So we leave at 7 am, get to the hotel, check in and head to the Varsity early enough to park and kick off an unforgettable two days of concerts. That would be pretty sweet.

 

I’ve got to try right? Right? I will keep you posted.
