It’s 12:48 am
Saturday morning
only 56 hours ’til
sunrise….
give or take
 
I will leave sunset
and live for
dawn’s return
full light
to brighten
cold dark
but it will come
it always does

    i\’ve never seen the sun seem
    anything but bright and warm
    though i\’ve never gazed
    directly on it
    i trust it\’s there
    even on cloudy days
    and darkest nights
    when it would seem
    my hope is vain
    i know it has never failed
    and hope remains
