Water slaps the belly of the dock

And when I close my eyes

It’s an ogre

Stomping a circuit

Trying to discover

Where I have hidden myself

But it cannot find me

It cannot see

I am lost in the waves

Low in the troughs

And it is dark here

Everything is unseen

But it keeps searching

Putting me to sleep
