Wednesday Morning Group

I had the sincere pleasure of presenting to Carman’s Wednesday Morning Group today and I mean that when I say pleasure. Rarely does when get to speak to a more engaged and interested/interesting group of people.

The group has been meeting for 45 years now and it is this kind of engagement that is surely part of the recipe for longevity that has kept it going when other such groups and organizations have since come and gone numerous times over.

Having received the invitation from the group to speak about my latest volume of poetry – Songs in Blue Minor, was wonderful enough. Adding to the treat was the pedigree of past speakers they have had including most recently Niigan Sinclair.

It was a fantastic morning of reading excerpts of my poetry while speaking a little about my background and journey and then taking some very, very good and well thought out questions.

Should you ever be invited to speak absolutely accept it knowing that you are in for a real treat from a spectacular group of people who are keenly interested in everything.
