as if it never was

delicate,
perfect,
these little moments
of normal;
broken
by the smallest,
swiftest glance;
thoughts
like shards
of glass
dispel
the good
as if
it never was;
and we
would go,
but for
those specks
of light
that bubble
forth,
when we breathe
like
we used to –
before life
